After moving to Los Angeles, Bell landed various television appearances and small film roles before appearing in a leading role in the David Mamet film Spartan. His first film role was an uncredited appearance in Polish Wedding. She became famous and critically acclaimed as the title role on the popular TV series Veronica Mars from September 2004 to May 2007.
